Stichting Bake for Life bestaat 20 jaar!
Op donderdag 9 mei a.s. wordt het 20-jarig bestaan van onze stichting gevierd. We vieren dit tijdens de expositie ‘De Kunst van Brood’, in Amsterdam.
Bakery 124 – Tororo District
Ochorokodi Partick (disabled sister) Patrick started working with his sister Toppy from Bakery 121. After three weeks Patrick got himself a personal loan for his own family. He is starting off on the 3rd of April.
Thuisbakkerspunt voor Bake for Life
Bake for Life wordt ook gesteund door Thuisbakkerspunt, opgezet door Sanne Alblas, een mooi initiatief door een enthousiast persoon.

Bakery 121 – Tororo District
Okama Toppy (husband and sister are disabled, she takes care of a disabled child. So the compound where the bakery is located has three disabled people) Toppy explained to BISS that she has been trying to do some bakery business, but lack of knowledge and equipment made it difficult to make profits. Bakery 120 – Tororo District
Isapu Lucy (mother of disabled child) Otaba Andrew (work partner) Lucy and Andrew are neighbors in their village. Lucy has a disabled child and got qualified to attend a BISS training. She chose to work with Andrew. They started off working well.
Bakery 123 – Tororo District
Onyango Patrick (Son of Chairman for PWD, who takes care of a mentally disabled grandchild) Patrick first started of as one group with Lydia, from Bakery 119. After working together for about two week, he got his individual loan. Patrick is a youth who hopes to develop himself a sustainable job with the BISS project,
Bakery 122 – Tororo District
Robinah (sister to mentally disabled girl) A young lady who bakes from a trading center nearby her home. She employed a boy to sell for her products out in the neighboring villages.
Bakery 119 – Owora Lydia (wife to a disabled man)
Lydia came to the College when she was sickly. We could not get a good impression of her. Once she started her bakery, she surprised us all. She got market around her area, supplying schools and shops. She employed a sister and a boy to sell and assist in baking. Lydia bakes up to 24KG
Association’s foundation promotes ‘Bake for Life’
