Baker: Tumuhimbise Francis

Residence: Soroti town, Senior quarters Western division

Francis is a crippled man who uses a tricycle for mobility. He is a married man and father of 5 children who all depend on him for school fees and basic necessities. He was recruited through the three phase recruitment process of BISS, where a meeting was held in Soroti for people with disability, home visits and then final selection for training at Bake for Life College for two weeks.

Francis started production on the 13 of juni, 2019. He is currently running a BISS bakery phase 1 loan, helped by his wife with a lot of passion and enthusiasm. His current production is between 3 to 4kgs per day and a profit of 5000 per day with a lot of market for improvement.
